Slider Styles Guide

FlipSlide offers 30 unique slider styles, each with its own visual character. This guide covers every style so you can pick the right one for your store.

Free Plan Styles

These three styles are available on the Free plan. They cover the most common use cases and look great on any store.

Style Description
Classic A clean vertical divider with a standard circular drag handle. This is the default style and works well for any type of comparison
Minimal A thin, translucent line with no handle knob. Great for a subtle, understated look that lets the images speak for themselves
Dotted A dotted line pattern separator. Adds a bit of texture without being too bold

Pro Plan Styles

Upgrading to Pro unlocks all 30 styles. Here's what you get in addition to the three free styles:

Line Variations

Style Description
Dashed A dashed line separator, similar to dotted but with longer segments
Double Line Two parallel lines running side by side along the divider
Gradient Fade The divider line fades out at the top and bottom, creating a soft transition
Gradient Handle A gradient colored accent line that shifts from your primary color to a darker shade
Scan Line Horizontal scan lines run across the divider, giving it a digital or technical feel

Glass and Blur Effects

Style Description
Glass A frosted glass handle and divider line with a soft blur effect behind it
Apple Glass A wider frosted glass divider inspired by modern UI design, with translucent edges and a glass knob

Decorative and Artistic

Style Description
Wave A wavy, sinusoidal edge along the divider. Adds an organic, flowing feel
Torn Edge An irregular, torn paper style edge that gives a raw, handmade look
Paint Stroke A thick brush stroke style divider that looks like it was painted on
Curtain A fabric drape effect with a gentle wavy line, like pulling back a curtain
Blinds Horizontal slats across the divider, similar to window blinds

Special Effects

Style Description
Neon A glowing neon accent line with light bleed effects around the edges
Prism A rainbow colored line that shifts through the full color spectrum
Shadow Lift An elevated card appearance with a pronounced shadow that lifts the slider off the page
Split Reveal A diagonal split effect that reveals images at an angle
Spotlight A circular reveal effect that follows the handle position
Filmstrip A movie film style border with sprocket holes running along the divider
Eclipse A half moon gradient effect on the handle

Handle Variations

Arrows Larger, more prominent arrow buttons on the handle
Lens A magnifying glass effect on the handle, great for detail focused comparisons
Crosshair A target scope style crosshair handle for precision comparisons
Shutter A camera shutter iris design on the handle knob

Layout Styles

Style Description
Rounded Adds rounded corners and soft shadows to the entire slider container
Invisible No visible line or handle at all. The slider still works, but the interaction is completely clean

Choosing the Right Style

A few tips for picking a style:

  • Product photography tends to look best with cleaner styles like Classic, Minimal, or Glass
  • Creative or artistic content suits styles like Paint Stroke, Torn Edge, or Wave
  • Tech products pair well with Neon, Scan Line, or Crosshair
  • Before and after transformations work great with any style, but Spotlight and Split Reveal add extra visual interest

You can always change the style after creating a slider. The live preview in the editor shows exactly how each style looks with your images.
