Common Questions

Here are answers to some of the questions we hear most often from FlipSlide merchants.

Can I use FlipSlide on multiple pages?

Yes. You can place as many sliders on as many pages as your plan allows. Free plan users can create one slider and place it on one page. Pro users can create unlimited sliders and place them on any number of pages.

Will FlipSlide slow down my store?

No. FlipSlide's slider script is lightweight and loads asynchronously, meaning it doesn't block your page from rendering. Your images are hosted through Shopify's CDN, which is optimized for fast delivery.

Does FlipSlide work on mobile?

Yes. All slider styles are fully responsive and work on mobile devices. Touch interactions are supported, so customers can swipe to move the divider just like they would on desktop.

Can I use the same slider on multiple pages?

Yes. A single slider can be embedded on as many pages as you like using the same Slider ID. Whether you use the theme editor block or the embed code, the slider loads the same content everywhere.

What happens to my sliders if I uninstall FlipSlide?

Your slider data is preserved for a period of time after uninstalling. If you reinstall FlipSlide, your sliders and settings should still be there. However, any theme blocks or embed codes will stop working while the app is uninstalled, so your customers won't see the sliders during that time.

Can I change a slider's style after creating it?

Yes. You can change the style at any time by opening the slider in the editor and selecting a new style. The change takes effect immediately after saving. Your images, labels, and other settings are preserved when you switch styles.

Do my customers need to install anything?

No. Sliders are displayed directly on your storefront pages. Customers don't need to install any apps, extensions, or plugins. Everything runs in the browser automatically.

Does FlipSlide work with all Shopify themes?

FlipSlide works with any Shopify theme. The theme editor block method requires an Online Store 2.0 compatible theme, which includes most modern themes. For older themes, you can use the embed code method, which works everywhere.

Can I use my own images from outside Shopify?

All images need to be uploaded through FlipSlide's editor, which stores them via Shopify's secure file hosting. You can't link to external image URLs directly. Just upload your images through the editor and they'll be handled securely.
